Architect Peter Haimerl has revived the residence – Schedlberg House – for thinkers in the Bavarian forest. There is an old house in Schedlberg near Arnbruck. Its name has been given to other houses. For a long time, there were farmers there; for a long time, no one lived there. Today they serve as makeshift homes for thinkers.

Sites – houses, forests, meadows and hills are there for contemplation. The house connects forests, meadows, hills and valleys. The residence is modern, simple, bare and powerful. Its architectural language is contemporary. A home is more than just a place.

STILL room——an iconic project planned by Cédric Etienne, expresses the design concept of his team Studio Corkinho. Out of the need to get rid of the over-stimulating society, Cédric Etienne proposes a new design language that allows us to sit still Standing there silently allows us to get closer to our true nature again. Fascinated by the hidden power of solitude, Cédric Etienne wanted to understand how to curate stillness and bring a higher meaning back to space.

Silent spaces allow us to reflect: what makes architecture, and thus us, in a state of tranquility? This room is dedicated to understanding the dynamics of silence and how to reconnect with inner balance. Thus, it can serve as a contemporary monastic cell where one can contemplate in an atmosphere without distractions.
