Last Thursday, we visited sirjohn’s museum. For me, this is a special museum experience. Soane’s Museum is the smallest national art museum in London. Here, the architect turned his home into a museum with many fine collections. Every corner is full of collections. There are also staff in every room. They will patiently explain what they don’t understand. According to the Sir’s will, the furnishings of this museum have not been changed. I can’t help sighing that I have decorated my home as a work of art. There are also cultural relics and works of art mainly from ancient Rome, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, and also from China and Europe, It covers sculptures, bronzes, mosaics and a series of architectural decorations. Being in a small museum can show the courage and artistic style of the residents. As an architectural designer, I am really amazed that I can focus on displaying and collecting various collections and works of art in my home.
Through my conversation with the staff, she told me that the three buildings we saw were directly donated after the death of Sir John Soane, and the collections and exhibits in the room almost kept the appearance of the designer’s house in his lifetime.

I can also feel that Soane has ulterior motives when displaying his own collections from the museum. The collection of collections rather than the sense of storage, such as the dialogue between objects, is related. I think that objects expand the properties of rooms, and the properties of rooms also give new context to objects.
The most memorable thing for me is that I can see many skylights on the first floor when I look up. I am particularly impressed by the dome skylight. The very beautiful skylight adds a sense of beauty to the building. What I like most is the area in the studio. I entered the studio at about 10 a.m., and the windows in the studio were decorated with stained glass. The sunlight poured into the interior from the outside of the glass. With the colored glass, the red light sprinkled on the painting, as if it were integrated with the painting.
